If your HVAC is bringing down the tone of the neighborhood, maybe it’s time to have it audition for our Ugliest HVAC Giveaway. We’re giving away a brand-new HVAC system to one lucky winner.

The Details

Our contest will be open from 12:01 am on January 2, 2026, through 11:59 pm on February 28, 2026, all times Eastern. It’s open to Virginia residents who own a property within our service area, so it’s available to all Hampton Roads homeowners. You can, however, only enter once. You must be 18 or older if you have family members who need to submit their own entries.

Also, you don’t need to be an existing customer or buy anything from us. You simply need to have a “deserving” HVAC system. We enjoy reading your entries and perhaps wincing a little bit at just how ugly some of these systems are. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries we receive, and you must enter through our online form. Our employees and their family members are not eligible.

The prize is an entirely new system installed in your home to replace the ugly HVAC system. We will only be giving out one prize.

How to Enter

It’s straightforward. Just fill out the form asking for your phone number, email address, and street address. Please give accurate details. We won’t sell or use them outside of the giveaway. However, if we draw your name and are unable to contact you, we’ll void your entry and proceed to the next winner. (We will give you the option to sign up for our newsletter, of course.)

The form also asks for a two-sentence/250-word description of exactly why your HVAC system deserves the title of ugliest in Hampton Roads. It could be your skyrocketing utility bills or the fact that it moans like the winter wind. You can also provide a photo if you want. We love to see pictures of your terrible HVAC systems. However, images are optional and won’t affect your ability to win the prize.

In March, we’ll draw and choose an eligible entrant at random. We plan on announcing the winner on March 13, 2026, or thereabouts. If you win, we’ll be contacting you about your prize.
