Meet our Winner – Arnitra!

Arnitra, of Newport News, had a 50-year-old HVAC unit she belovedly named Maxine. After a long run as a team, it was time to say out with old and in with the new!

Goodbye, Maxine… the 50-year-old AC unit!

After decades of loyal service, Maxine had definitely earned the title of Ugliest HVAC of 2026. Arnitra shared the story of her old, rusty unit that had stopped cooling and was struggling to keep up during the summer heat. With her current fixed income, it was difficult to have the unit fixed. Fortunately, she saw Smith & Keene’s Ugly HVAC Giveaway and took advantage of the opportunity.

The installation of her new unit went smoothly, and Smith & Keene went the extra mile to ensure strong airflow from her supply vents, ensuring the comfort she deserves.
